Daily Inspiration, for 26 January 2022

by | Jan 26, 2022 | Inspiration

We have all been wrong at some point in time. Someone has hurt you; someone has caused you physical mental and or emotional harm. However, even though the hurt or harm is not currently occurring, you may still find yourself deeply affected by it – to the point where the heart still feels fresh, and you might still feel resentment or feelings of animosity towards your oppressor.

If unfortunately, you have been the victim of a past hurt that you have chosen not to let go of, or to allow yourself to reconcile or heal from, it suggests that the oppressor or perpetrator still has a hold over you – even to today. In choosing to let go of the past does not necessarily absolve the perpetrator of his or her actions, but it allows you, or rather you are giving yourself permission to heal from the past hurt, and to create a space and life in which you can live more abundantly.

Throughout the day, we invite you to revisit this quote. Below are a few questions you may wish to ask yourself, and those who journal may find them especially useful:

  • Am I holding on to pass hurt?
  • Am I still resentful towards people who have hurt me in the past?
  • What can I do for me to move beyond these hurtful experiences?

Best wishes, and have a great day!
