As humans we are constantly challenged to establish a meaningful balance in our lives. We are reminded to live each day to the fullest, but that can be a challenge because we also need to be thinking ahead… about the bills that are due at the end of the month, the doctor’s appointment next week, how to juggle the chores that need to be done, the kids’ extracurricular activities and the errands that need to be run this coming weekend…
However, when you really think about it, you can only live one day at a time. You are alive for just one day. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone. And by constantly looking ahead, we miss the opportunities with which we are presented each day. The experiences we have and the lessons we learn each day help us to navigate our path into the future.
Throughout the day, we invite you to revisit this quote. Below are a few questions you may wish to ask yourself, and those who journal may find them especially useful:
- If I were to die tomorrow, what would I do today?
- How can I be more present today and everyday?
Best wishes, and have a great day!
