It is amazing how an inanimate thing such as a line drawn on the ground act as a barrier to our ability to access what is ahead. We are controlled by these lines in banks and government offices, as we stand in a queue, and even more when we use the roadway, and need to stay in our lane.
Although lines, or boundaries, are needed to maintain order in society, and even when interacting with others, we ought to be mindful of the lines we draw around ourselves. When we construct our own lines, they act as barriers in our minds and limit the full exploration of our gifts and talents, and consequently the experiences and opportunities for growth we have in this life.
Throughout the day, we invite you to revisit this quote. Below are a few questions you may wish to ask yourself, and those who journal may find them especially useful:
- How many of the limits I have placed on myself are self-imposed?
- Am I prepared to give myself permission to cross my self-imposed lines and boundaries?
- What might be some of the opportunities that may enter my life if I am prepared to cross my self-imposed lines and boundaries?
Best wishes and have a great day!
