Have you ever noticed how children view the world with wonder and enthusiasm? They have not yet learned to put limits on their expectations of what they can achieve by doubting their abilities to undertake specific tasks.
However, as adults, we are riddled with self-doubt, which when compounded with the logic and reasoning skills we would have learned, can paralyse us into doing nothing, or making very conservative choices. Essentially, we limit potential and capability even before we get started.
We need to regain the belief in ourselves and our capacity to achieve. We need to remove the limitations we have placed and astonish ourselves by what we can in fact achieve!
Throughout the day, we invite you to revisit this quote. Below are a few questions you may wish to ask yourself, and those who journal may find them especially useful:
- What are some of the self-limiting beliefs that I still have?
- What are some examples of ways in which I have held myself back and potentially what I could have achieved or experienced?
- Am I prepared to remove the barriers, get out of my comfort zone and push myself?
Best wishes and have a great day!
