Daily Inspiration, for 28 September 2022

For most of us, there is a difference between who we THINK we are, and who we ACTUALLY are.

Frequently, it is in childhood that we start to become less connected to who we actually are, as we are expected to conform to how our family or our community expects us to act and believe, which in turn affects how perceive who we are, and how we perceive ourselves within the context of the world around us. For example, the role of girls and women, and that of boys and men, how you perceive success and failure, what is beautiful, what you ought to value, etc., are all shaped very early in life, and subconsciously affects all of your decisions moving forward.

But beneath all of society’s teachings, who are you really?

Answering that question is perhaps the most important question of your life, as it is in answering it that you will be on the path to finding and fulfilling your true purpose.

Throughout the day, we invite you to revisit this quote. Below are a few questions you may wish to ask yourself, and those who journal may find them especially useful:

  • Who am I?
  • Have I done the work to truly find myself and know the essence of who I am?
  • If I have not yet done the work, why haven’t I started?

Best wishes and have a great day!
