How many times have you said to yourself, “I wish I had done this”, or that or had taken the opportunity that was offered to do something new? In many cases, that opportunity never presents itself again. There is no second chance or ‘do over’.
We are often reminded that people regret the risk they failed to take rather than the ones they took. Because even when the venture fails, there are insights to be gained as valuable lessons can be learned about our ability and the skill set that we need to acquire to address our deficiencies going forward.
More importantly, we are not as plagued with the “what ifs?”, which tend to be the source of regret.
Throughout the day, we invite you to revisit this quote. Below are a few questions you may wish to ask yourself, and those who journal may find them especially useful:
- Am I someone who is plagued by indecision?
- What are some of my regrets?
- Are my regrets due to taking action or not taking action?
Best wishes and have a great day!!
