If we spend our life trying to collect accolades from our past achievements, we are little more than fossils – frozen in time. Far too often, there are people trying to hold on to their past glory and are not acknowledging that they are in a new or different season of life with new and different opportunities to grow and evolve.

Similar to time, life is constantly moving forward. When we are confronted with new challenges, our past experiences are there to help us navigate through the present circumstances. Constantly looking behind is like trying to drive, but only using your rear-view mirror. A totally unproductive exercise.

Instead, look ahead and embrace the opportunities to come!
