Today’s quote is a reminder of another saying attributed to Lewis Carroll, the author of Alice in Wonderland, “If you don’t know where you are going, any road will take you there”. Essentially, it means if you have no goal in mind, you are likely to operate aimlessly, which may not necessarily be a good thing.
As we begin to focus on 2023 and how it could unfold, it is crucial that we give some thought to the goals we would like to achieve this year. They do not have to be outlandish and could cover both your personal and professional life. The point is to have some anchors, upon which you can direct your energies this year.
In getting older, goal setting becomes even more important, as time is racing on. And if you did not set and keep some goals in mind, it is likely that at the end of the year, you would not know how to account for the 12 months, or 365 days, or 8,760 hours, or 525,600 minutes, or 31,536,000 seconds that have passed.
Throughout the day, we invite you to revisit this quote. Below are a few questions you may wish to ask yourself, and those who journal may find them especially useful:
- What are my key goals for this year?
Best wishes and have a great day!!
