Daily Inspiration, for 30 November 2021

In western culture, the go-getter attitude is widely praised and desired: the ability to make things happen. However, a lesson that we all tend to learn as we grow older, is that we do not have as much control over our lives as we think. More importantly, it is wise to allow the universe to play its part in a situation, and to allow others reveal their true selves to us. However, those things may only become evident, or we might only become aware of them, when we are still.

In our Type A world, this stillness might seem highly passive or even lazy, but it allows us to do less with more. When we can quieten the noise, and really tap into our inner selves, so much can be revealed.

Throughout the day, we invite you to revisit this quote. Below are a few questions you may wish to ask yourself, and those who journal may find them especially useful:

  • How easy is it for me to be still?
  • How often do I feel connected to my inner self, or can you hear my inner voice?
  • Can I recall any experience where I was still and allowed a situation to reveal itself?

Best wishes, and have a great day!
