This quote can be taken as a reminder of the tightrope so many women navigate every day –  to not alienate certain people, whilst also trying to establish or maintain certain boundaries with the very same people! It thus means that to a considerable degree, we need to be continually aware of the dynamics at play in our relationships, and to be able to adjust to suit – whilst trying to ensure that we do not get lost in it all.

Having said this, and underpinning today’s quote, is the need for us, as women, to very centred, to have a solid sense of self and of our values, whilst also demonstrating maturity to hopefully not burn bridges, and to skillfully move through the various situations we need to confront on a daily basis.
