The odds are that you have big goals: the dreams that you keep to yourself, the dreams you would love to achieve, but which scare you to the point that you procrastinate or tell yourself why the time is not right to start that adventure.
However, in order to somehow be able to make those dreams a reality, in large part, and as a first step, you need to conquer fear. But trying to power through fear is not easy, and rarely can you sustain the energy and stamina to overcome that fear every day.
A better approach may be to continually try to make peace with your fear: the fact you are terrified, but should you be successful in what you are trying to achieve, the outcome would be so beneficial. Moreover, it would be worth the effort to walk through your fear – even if it is just for today.
Acknowledging your fear, yet still trying to overcome it every day, allows you to give yourself grace, whilst also giving yourself the opportunity to re-affirm why the goals you want to achieve are more important than the fear you might be feeling.
