Have you ever noticed that many of the disagreements that occur in our relationships are really fought over trivial and unimportant stuff? In many instances, the quarrels and disagreements are not really about what is at the heart of the problem, but we use our energy fighting about tiny micro-aggressions. In the process, so much hurt is inflicted that it can be difficult to bridge the gap that we have created.
It is important that when we find ourselves in constant conflict with an individual in our circle, we take the time to identify the root cause of our dissatisfaction. If we don’t, we stand the chance of destroying the relationship due to the constant bickering and the need to be right every time. In short, we may win the battle but lose the war.
Pick your battles carefully.
Best wishes and have a great day!
