As much as we might enjoy living vicariously through others, there is really nothing like having first-hand experience. Not only is there the opportunity for deep learning, but when success is realized, it is all the sweeter!

There is value in working for the things you want. The journey can have you drawing on resources and resolve that you never thought you had: creativity, resourcefulness, perseverance, resilience, etc. And at the end of the day, you would have earned your success!

Having said this, it is important to highlight there are those who try to belittle your achievement – that somehow it came easy to you and the final outcome is not truly deserved. However, only you know the hard-fought battles you had to overcome; so it is crucial that you do not allow the naysayers and detractors to doubt yourself or dilute your success.
