Essentially, what today’s quote is saying is that fearless people are not only born, they can also be made. As one of the Founders of HuffPost, the acclaimed online news aggregator and blog, Arianna Huffington would have been playing in the more male-dominated world of publishing – that of news and current events, rather than fashion, beauty and food – and so would have had several occasions to become fearless.
Having said this, and for us mere mortals to become fearless, requires that in the midst of uncertainty and anxiety, we walk through our fears to whatever awaits us on the other side. At the best of times, that is no easy feat. Over time, and with the practice of walking through our fears, it may not necessarily get easier, but we become more comfortable in allowing yourself not to be limited or hindered by that fear.
Throughout the day, we invite you to revisit this quote. Below are a few questions you may wish to ask yourself, and those who journal may find them especially useful:
- When faced with a difficult situation, how much am I prepared to let fear rule me?
- To what degree am I prepared to walk through my fear?
Best wishes, and have a great day!
