It is inevitable that we will experience difficulties, and that we will have to overcome them. Similarly, rain or storm clouds are rarely welcomed. They can be a time of upheaval and change: to get rid of the old and usher in the new. However, we are fearful and filled with anxiety. So we batten down the hatches and hope that they don’t leave too much destruction in their wake. But ultimately, we can’t wait for the storms to be over.

However, if we are prepared to welcome change in our lives: to remember that life is never static, and from time to time, there is a need for upheaval – to get rid of the old and usher in the new – we may even be a bit more welcoming of it.
