We all know the woman who Iman, model and Founder of Iman Cosmetics, speaks about. She might be the auntie, or the free-spirited girlfriend who does not follow convention and may get whispered about when she is not around.

Whilst most of us endeavour to follow the rules and colour within the lines, these women see many of so many of our social conventions and familial expectations are suggestions that they can choose to follow.

Yes, they may get into trouble for their behaviour and actions, and most likely than not, they will be frowned upon by others, but the vortex that is created around these women is compelling. More importantly, they more than others, may have tapped into their true selves, and are seeking to keep true to that – which takes courage.

Although we may never be that crazy aunt or girlfriend, they can remind us to be more centred, and to ensure that we remain connected to our true selves.
