This quote is a reminder of one of the Four Agreements, in the book of the same name by Don Miguel Ruiz, “Always Do Your Best”. However, many of us have expectations of our efforts: that the outcome or result will be what we desire. Unfortunately, that may not necessarily be the case; but the outcome is likely to be best for all concern – even if we don’t or can’t understand it.

That being said, Emma Watson also highlights the fact that in pouring your heart into what you believe, it is likely to open you up to being vulnerable. Moreover, and it is in allowing yourself to be vulnerable, and walking through that vulnerability, that amazing things can happen. Ultimately, and although the outcome of an experience or process may be important, it is vital that you pay attention to, and learn from, the journey as well.
