To a considerable degree, the desires of our family and our community have shaped the lives we currently lead. Our values, our expectations, and the choices we have made are not entirely our own. However, many of us never ask the questions, “Who am I and why was I born?”
Clearly, the answer to these questions are beyond the obvious, and not based attached to on our families. These are deeper questions that ought to be at the heart of each of us, and which we ought to answer to ensure that we are aligned with our true destiny and purpose in this life and this world.
Answering these questions requires us to journey within. We need to move beyond the conditioning and socialisation we have received growing up, in order to connect more closely with our true self that is still inside us, but which we have neglected over the years.
Throughout the day, we invite you to revisit this quote. Below are a few questions you may wish to ask yourself, and those who journal may find them especially useful:
- Why was I born?
- What is the gift that I am to give this world?
- To what degree am I delivering that gift?
Best wishes and have a great day!
