How many of us women are brave and confident enough to make such a statement?

For strong and powerful women, the journey to finding romantic love can be a challenge. We spent a fair portion of our adult life studying and working to be capable women, and hopefully, a good partner to someone. However, when you might be ready to settle down, these relationships may fall apart for a number of reasons.

One of the reasons given as to why accomplished women are not finding life partners, is because men, in particular, are intimidated by them. In response, many women ‘dumb themselves down’, or step back, or try to become overly accommodating of their partners or romantic prospects.

But in doing so, there’s a price to pay, in terms of, among other things, your own self-respect, confidence, whether your partner treat you well, and perhaps even the extent to which your partner adds value to your life. Having said this, and there is no right or wrong answer. Each woman has to take her own unique path to love. However, two question you may need to ask yourself is:

• “What might I have to give up in order to achieve it?”, and
• “Am I prepared to pay that price, in order to have the chance of having a committed, romantic relationship?”
