Today’s quote points to a situation that many of us might not be aware of. We have had an experience, and we believe it is finished, but sometime later, we find ourselves in a very similar situation and wonder why.

A good example many women may be able to identify with is the issue of prejudice, be it in the workplace or in other circles. For example, in a more male-dominated environment, women are continually fighting to be heard, to have a seat at the table, etc. It is rarely the case where a single battle is fought and won, and the matter never happens again. Inequality and double standards rear their heads continually and must be challenged when they do arise.

Similarly, in our personal relationships, we need to be consistent in the positions we take. We may also find that situations we have been in the past repeating themselves, although the people involved might be different.
