Similar to yesterday’s quote, today’s quote is emphasising the importance of action.
When we are anxious or uncertain about a challenge we are experiencing, it is easy for us to overthink it, and for our imagination to run wild. We think of all kinds of scenarios and the worst possible outcomes, which in turn feeds our fears and anxiety, which can paralyse us even further.
However, to have some progress, or to succeed in that situation, we need to act. It may not be possible, and we certainly may not have the wherewithal, to address the situation in one fell swoop, but we can begin with baby steps and slowly start to chip away at the problem. The key is to act.
Throughout the day, we invite you to revisit this quote. Below are a few questions you may wish to ask yourself, and those who journal may find them especially useful:
- Am I currently in a situation that has me fearful or anxious?
- Do I know why I’m fearful or anxious?
- What might be some small steps or actions I can take to advance or improve the situation?
Best wishes, and have a great day!
