If you remember yourself as a child or have recently been exposed to children under the age of about eight, you are likely to be impressed by how their minds work. They are full of imagination, have a gusto for life, and have a unique perspective that you, as an adult, may not be able to fully wrap your head around.

However, as they get older, which also happened to you, that sense of joy and wonder is displaced by societal norms, mores and expectations. That mantle of maturity, which helps us to better navigate the world around us, would to a considerable degree, rob us of our fearlessness and creativity, as we now focus on always staying within boundaries and not ruffling any feathers.

Unfortunately, that very mantle of maturity may have robbed of our true selves, or rather to become very removed from it, and so the question is, Can we get back to the child within us?
