So often we are waiting for some earth-shattering occurrence to provide the impetus we need to try something new in life. However each new day provides a chance to explore new options if we are only brave enough to try.

Having said this, we first need to be able to see these new options. That can be a challenge, especially since we may be conditioned to focus on the big opportunities, or those that are flashing in neon lights. We need to practise looking deeper – beyond the obvious – to try to become aware of the smaller opportunities that are so easy to overlook.

However, there is a paradox at play. The more pressure or the more active effort you put into seeking out these small opportunities, the more elusive they can be. The trick is to have a sense of relaxedness and openness so that the opportunities can reveal themselves to you.
