The contribution of women to a society’s transformation is undeniable. Throughout history, the central role of women in society has ensured the stability, progress and long-term development of nations. Yet women’s roles are valued less economically, and women are generally confined to the domestic sphere.

Gender stereotypes in modern society continue to limit the roles women are allowed to play. But as far back as 1865, William Ross Wallace declared, “The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that ruled the World”.

However, how many of us women continue to facilitate the constraints and limitations on our potential? In this self-imposed prison, we fail to acknowledge the power that we innately possess.
